Motorcyclist killed in Vermont accident

(AP) — A motorcyclist is dead and another is in critical condition after they were struck by a car in Woodbury.

State police say a car driven by Frank Sargent of Woodbury crossed the center line of Route 14 around 9:15 a.m. Sunday and collided with the motorcyclists. Killed was 55-year-old Joseph Rebello of Kingston, Massachusetts. Fifty-seven-year-old Richard Braga, also of Kingston, Massachusetts, is in critical condition at Fletcher Allen Health Care center. The 52-year-old Sargent is in fair condition at Fletcher Allen.

State police say two other motorcyclists were able to avoid being struck by the car.

The accident is being investigated.
