More cities postponing fireworks as rain moves in
DOVER, N.H. (AP) — Add Dover and Rochester to the list of cities postponing Independence Day celebrations because of the potential for bad weather.
Foster's Daily Democrat (http://bit.ly/1jNmPyB ) reports that Dover will hold its fireworks on Sunday while Rochester will move its event to Saturday. The announcements came Thursday.
Manchester and Plymouth decided Wednesday to postpone fireworks and other events until Saturday because of the possibility of storms. Those displays had been scheduled for Thursday evening but strong weather is expected, including thunderstorms and heavy rain.
The weekend forecasts are for mostly sunny days and mostly clear evenings throughout much of the state.Associated Press
