Toll collection ending at Merrimack stop
MERRIMACK, N.H. (AP) — Toll-collecting at a stop in Merrimack, New Hampshire, will soon become a thing of the past.
The state Department of Transportation is ending collections as of Friday night at Exit 12 on the Everett Turnpike.
Toll equipment at Exit 12 and signs eventually will be removed.
Lawmakers passed a measure that eliminates the toll. Some said Merrimack residents were disproportionately burdened by having it.Associated Press
