Suggestions welcome for structures needing TLC
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — You could help save a historic New Hampshire structure that's doomed by dilapidation or disrepair with a few strokes of a pen or a keyboard.
The New Hampshire Preservation Alliance is now taking nominations for its annual "Seven to Save" list.
The alliance turns the spotlight on the seven chosen projects and seeks sponsors to help salvage them.
The nominated building or landmark must be over 50 years old and be significant to the state's history.
Structures that make the Seven to Save list are selected based on their historic significance, the degree to which they are threatened and the potential that the distinction could dramatically alter their fate. Three of the state's grand hotels have made the list since its inception in 2006.
