(AP) — Police in New Hampshire are searching for a suspect or suspects who attacked a 29-year-old man delivering a pizza to a vacant house in Somersworth.

Thomas Kefalas, owner of Somersworth House of Pizza, says the 29-year-old driver, who was hospitalized after the Wednesday evening attack, could require extensive long-term care.

He tells Fosters Daily Democrat (http://bit.ly/1qEZvL4 ) he's surprised by the viciousness of the attack.

Police Capt. Russell Timmons would not describe the extent of the injuries suffered by the victim, nor would he say if cash was stolen or if police are searching for more than one suspect.

Kefalas says that in the 26 years he's owned the restaurant he has never before had a driver attacked.
